INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy is a well-documented vehicle for working through current issues and understanding past experiences. It is something everyone should experience at some point in their lives because there is no better place for learning about oneself, working through past difficulties, and moving towards personal growth. Understanding oneself leads to better relationships with others and to a more fulfilling and enriching quality of life. Whether you are going through a challenging time in your life, want to explore past experiences that have not been dealt with, or are suffering from depression or anxiety, individual therapy is a great place to start healing.
EMDR
EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a phased, scientifically validated and integrative psychotherapy approach based on the theory that much of our emotional pain is due to disturbing life events. These result in the impairment of an individual’s innate ability to process and integrate the experience or experiences within the central nervous system. The core of EMDR involves activating components of an upsetting life event, and pairing those components with alternating bilateral or dual attention stimulation. This process facilitates the resumption of balanced information processing and integration. This approach can result in the alleviation of presenting symptoms, diminution of distress from memory, improved view of the self, relief from bodily disturbance, and resolution of present and future anticipated triggers.

Emotional Freedom Technique
(EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an evidenced-based practice which is grounded in the integrative field of energy psychology (EP) and integrates components of cognitative behavioral therapies, exposure therapy, and body stimulation of acupressure points on the face and body. Because of EFT’s acupressure component, it is commonly known as “Tapping”. Tapping can help with emotion regulation, grounding, clarity, and is a great way to relieve stress and burnout.
GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy is a proven tool to foster growth and change. While it shares many of the benefits of individual therapy, people often find it to be an even more powerful experience as group members find support and encouragement not only from the therapist, but from others facing similar challenges as themselves. Group therapy has the additional benefit of reassuring people that they are not alone in their struggles, in fact they are sitting in a room full of individuals struggling with something similar! Group therapy is a wonderful way for people to learn how to connect to others and to learn about themselves. Although it may seem challenging to talk about personal issues in a group setting, once a group is up and running, most people find it to be a very rewarding experience as they gain the support and insight of other group members.
Clinical Supervision
I provide individual and group supervision to clinicians and social workers seeking licensure. My experience working with a wide range of clients in community mental health, schools, and private practice settings has equipped me with the knowledge necessary to counsel and advise therapists new to private practice. As therapists, the importance of continued growth, knowledge, and the ability to evolve in an ever-changing field necessitates a qualified supervisor to provide an opportunity to deepen the work for both yourself and your clients.
