INDIVIDUAL THERAPY 

Individual therapy is a well-documented vehicle for working through current issues and understanding past experiences. It is something everyone should experience at some point in their lives because there is no better place for learning about oneself, working through past difficulties, and moving towards personal growth. Understanding oneself leads to better relationships with others and to a more fulfilling and enriching quality of life. EMDR

EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a phased, scientifically validated and integrative psychotherapy approach based on the theory that much of our emotional pain is due to disturbing life events. These result in the impairment of an individual’s innate ability to process and integrate the experience or experiences within the central nervous system. The core of EMDR involves activating components of an upsetting life event, and pairing those components with alternating bilateral or dual attention stimulation.  This process facilitates the resumption of balanced information processing and integration. This approach can result in the alleviation of presenting symptoms, diminution of distress from memory, improved view of the self, relief from bodily disturbance, and resolution of present and future anticipated triggers.

Emotional Freedom Technique

(EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an evidenced-based practice which is grounded in the integrative field of energy psychology (EP) and integrates components of cognitative behavioral therapies, exposure therapy, and body stimulation of acupressure points on the face and body. Because of EFT’s acupressure component, it is commonly known as “Tapping”. Tapping can help with emotion regulation, grounding, clarity, and is a great way to relieve stress and burnout.
